All Set for the Night

We just left Joanne for the night. She was feeling great when we left - we even played a rousing game of "I Spy." We can't visit until 11 tomorrow, so if you'd like to call and talk to her in the morning, feel free. She's got her cell phone, and if you need the number call Arnie and he'll give it to you.

Out of Surgery

Joanne is out of surgery. The doctor said everything went well. They got everything out and the bad cells hadn't spread outside the muscle, so they're pretty certain there's nothing else to worry about.

She'll be out of recovery at about 3:30, so we'll be able to see her then.

Still in Surgery

We just got word that she's still in surgery. Her room number is going to be 426 at Sisters, but she won't be there for a few hours yet.

No News Yet

We're still in the surgical waiting room. Joanne went in and they started around 10:30. We expect to hear soon how she's doing.

Hey there friends and family!

Many people have asked us to keep them updated on Joanne's surgery, etc., and if we called everyone who's asked we'll be spending quite a bit of time on the phone. So we have created this blog to let everyone know what's happening. You can also leave your good wishes in the comments and I'll make sure Joanne gets them.

Please bookmark this page and check it often, especially on Tuesday. Theoretically the hospital has some wi-fi areas so I'll be updating with her progress throughout the day.

The surgery is set for this Tuesday, July 21, at 10 am in Buffalo. Please keep Joanne in your prayers.
